It is Spring time and HAY FEVER is all around. For those of us who suffer from the runny and stuffed up nose, watery and itchy eyes, sneezing, itchy nose and throat, or fatigue, the Spring season can be a challenging experience. This smoothie offers a cooling, nutrient rich drink that can help manage and/or alleviate symptoms of hay fever. The ingredients in this recipe are simple, available in local grocers and make a  wonderful and delicious  addition to your Spring time diet. 


1 – 1 1/2 cup Cooled Green Tea

1 – 2 Carrots (Grated)

1 inch Fresh Ginger Root (Chopped)

2 Fresh Mangos (or 2 cups Frozen Mango)

1 tsp Honey (locally sourced is best)

1 Tbs Chia Seeds

To Make:

1. Steep 2-3 organic green tea bags in 3 cups very hot but not boiling water for about 5 minutes and allow to cool.

2. Pour cooled tea to blender and add remaining ingredients.

3. Replace cover and blend thoroughly. Consistency will be smooth and creamy.

4. Pour into your favorite glass, drink and ENJOY!
